Social media publishing

This module does not create content - it distributes what you already have. You pick a finished photo or video from the asset library, write a caption (a separate one per channel if you want), choose the profiles and publish straight away or at a set time. Reach and reactions are collected automatically and shown in one place.

What it is for

  • Who it is for: people running the company profiles on social media.
  • Use it when: you have finished material and want it on several profiles at once, now or at a scheduled time.
  • If you still need the graphic itself, make it in the Social posts module and come back here to publish it.

Info

Connecting the profiles is done by your WebImpact manager - the platforms do not issue ordinary keys to companies, they require a one-off account connection instead.

Before you start

  • Permissions: viewing - any role with panel access; preparing, publishing and scheduling - a role allowed to approve. Scheduling is publishing with a delay, so it needs the same right.
  • Module enabled: "Social media publishing" must be active for your company.
  • Connected profiles: at least one company profile connected to a platform.

How to publish material

  1. Open Social media publishing from your company menu.
  2. Click New publication.
  3. Pick the material from the asset library. Videos can be previewed in place by hovering over the tile.
  4. Tick the profiles the publication should go to.
  5. Write the caption. You can use one shared caption or a separate one per channel - and ask for a suggested caption if you want.
  6. Check the warnings: every channel has its own requirements (caption length, aspect ratio, video duration). You see them before anything goes out.
  7. Publish now or choose a time. Scheduled entries appear in the calendar alongside blog and newsletter items.
  8. After publishing, open Statistics - reach and reactions are pulled automatically, at a decreasing frequency: hourly at first, then less often.

Limits and notes

  • The limit is counted per channel. One publication to three profiles takes three items off the limit.
  • Channel requirements are checked before sending, on an all-or-nothing basis: if the material fails for one of the ticked profiles, it goes nowhere. Letting only the "valid" ones through would leave an irreversible post in one place and an error in another.
  • Statistics are pulled in the background, not on demand - the platforms have strict rate limits and publishing matters more.
  • An empty measurement is recorded too. If the post was deleted on the platform side, we stop asking about it.

Uwaga

A publication cannot be undone from the panel. Check the caption and the selected profiles before you click - especially when publishing to several channels at once.
